Here we have a nice glass fire extinguisher from the 1870s. This example features four circular panels with three of them embossed. The embossing reads Hayward's Hand Fire Grenade / Patented Aug 8 1871 / S.

F Hayward 407 Broadway New York. The color is a medium cobalt blue. This example stands 6 1/4 tall and is in good condition with no chips, cracks, bruises, open bubbles, etc. The grounded lip has the typical tiny flakes / rough spots and the base has some exterior stain / chalkiness to the glass.
